Mindset, a regional social and market research firm based in Amman, is looking to hire an Accounting Officer with the below qualifications:

BA or higher in finance / accounting or a similar degree
Minimum 2 years of work experience as an accountant
Thorough knowledge of tax and social security laws
Very good command of the English language
Very good command of Microsoft office
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
High level of accountability, accuracy, and efficiency, especially when multitasking

Some of the responsibilities include:

Performing basic office tasks, such as filing and data entry
Working with other members of the accounting department to compile, analyze, and report financial data
Making journal or ledger entries
Ensure timely bank payments
Preparing weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports and budgets
Assisting with tax preparation, audits, and identifying and resolving discrepancies
Ensuring that company bills are paid and debts are collected
Maintaining accurate financial records
Computing taxes and prepare tax returns
Process company's payroll every pay period.
