The proteomics and metabolomics research program at the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 (CCHE 57357) is seeking 2 outstanding, enthusiastic, and ambitious candidates to fill the role in Bioinformatics for the research program. Research Scientist – Bioinformatics [Full time]

Responsibilities

• Join the proteomics/ metabolomics teams to support and advice a bioinformatics aspects of the current projects and collaborative work

• Master the proteomics/metabolomics pipeline analysis, a unique discipline that is solely active in CCHE 57357.

• Develop an in-house tools, softwares that serve the program needs either in proteomics or metabolomics.

• Maintain database infrastructure and projects

Qualification

• Strong Programming skills in scripted languages, particularly R, Python

• Ability to work independently and to contribute to the progress of your projects

• Professional language skills in English – both written and spoken is a plus

• Master’s degree in (Applied) Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related discipline is a plus

• Prior experience with *OMICs Datasets (Microbiome, Transcriptome, Proteome, Lipidome,…) is a plus
